NBA rules “Kobe was just trying to get up, nothing was intentional”… no foul, no fine, no suspension, nothing…. Can you honestly really tell me Kobe doesn’t get special treatment from the league?
I’m one of the many Americans not happy with the quality of American cars in the couple of decades or so. I want to buy American, I really do, but I wasn’t able to find exactly what I needed in an American car and the quality concerns have always been in the back of my mind. It’s gotten better in recent years, but is it too little too late? Probably so for Chrysler. I hate to hear this, because my parents just bought two new Dodge Journeys. They were pratically giving them away. I did try to warn them, but they don’t take advice from me very often. Hopefully I am still wrong and Chrysler can pull this out.
That’s right… Some people would rather let the company fail than to take a cut in pay! It’s either that, othey didn’t really need that money as much as they said they did.
What the hell… They want to Agent Orange-ify the border?? wow. I know they think it’s safe, but who knows over time? It seems like a huge area to be spreading chemicals.
Honestly this doesn’t upset me personally — Even if it was available to me I wouldn’t pay for the high price for this. Since I’m a fan of the local team and they are always on in my broadcast area, I will settle for the other choices they show and the national primetime games. But for the people who really want to see out of market games, you are getting screwed here. DirecTV has some of the highest fees and the Sunday Ticket itself is outrageous. These guys are making backroom deals to corner the market to make sure you pay more. Sorry guys.
Hmm… okay, only half? I guess they aren’t legally obligated to give anything back, and this is cash money we are talking about. Still though, it’s pretty obvious that none of these people really deserved these kind of bonuses since the company is in such dire straits.
Here’s what you do: Tell them to give ALL their bonus back and then they can KEEP their fucking job. And then if they don’t give their bonus back, not only do they get fired but their names are sent directly to every congressman and news outlet in the country with full dollar amounts? That ought to persuade someof them, right?
I was reading this article over at fanhouse. I even left a comment…. But why is it a question? There is video evidence… was it really a close call? no.
While I have tumbled previously about the douchiness of Merrill Lynch (and now it looks like it’s carrying over into BOA), I have to wonder what they can really do about this. It’s shitty to take tax payer money then pay 3 billion in bonuses, but do they legally have any recourse? It’s the feds fault for handing over money without any preconditions, and congress’s fault for allowing them to do so… right? Please correct me if I’m wrong!
I just needed to rant about the recession. I am not a recession denier, things are certainly slowing and in bad shape for some companies/people. But I keep hearing people say things like “oh, I need to cut back on this or that because of the recession/how bad the economy is”. When someone says that, do you assume they have lost their job or taken a pay cut? I don’t think they have generally. Maybe they are *worried* about losing job/pay cut and just want to save more. Do you really think they are saving more? The price of a lot of things are actually cheaper in a recession, so it’s not about prices going higher. What is it all about? It’s about people being scared of the “recession” and actually making things worse. I’m all for Americans realizing they are in debt and don’t need to be buying shit they can’t afford. I’m all for companies to quit wasting money and passing on the costs to consumers because they will go into debt to buy your crap. If it takes recession fears to fix this, then fine. But quit spreading your bullshit and FUD to people who don’t have those issues. Be a fucking man (or woman or whatever) and admit you were irresponsible with your moneys previously and are now trying to fix it. Don’t blame the “recession”. You are making things worse when you do. Man up. And fuck you. I’m out.
